Closing early in Bangkok
If closings will keep scumbag assholes like you away, then it's done it's
job. "Dave Baker" wrote in message news On Tue, 02 Mar 2004 10:08:30 +0800, wrote: Yeah, good for you. Bangkok and for that matter, Singapore don't need your kind of tourist to corrupt our young Interesting that all estimates I have seen say that 95% of the prostitution in Thailand is carried out for the benefit of Thai men. Who is corrupting who? Dave |

I remember when I was in high school and Cuba was somewhat like Thailand, then
Castro got in and closed all the fun things down, just like Thaksin is doing in Thailand, Castro started off slowly, and slowly turned Cuba into a comunist country, keep in mind that Thailand is almost completely surounded by communism, the Thai people better wake up before it's too late and get rid of this guy! |

Good question. I am asking the same too. Sex for sale existed always but it wasn't so rampant then. Now the night scene in Geylang, Singapore makes Patpong look like a children's birthday party. That's the whole trouble, our vice squads need to work harder. IF I were to head this section, I can assure you most emphatically that they will be swept off the streets within 3 days. Bangkok and for that matter, Singapore don't need your kind of tourist to corrupt our young and sully our asian cities with your "filthy" dollars. Maybe we prefer eco tourists and those who can appreciate the natural beauty of a place or region rather than those sex hungry tourists after lust. In that case, why are there so many Thais and other asian nationalities (so I'm told) working on the game in Singapore? Ewan On Mon, 1 Mar 2004 16:04:59 -0500, "Matt Kelly" wrote: Good to know. I guessed you missed the sentence in my post that said I'm not interested in
the sex trade. But I am interested in a late-night drink or meal. Try visiting New York City sometime and you'll get a sense of what a vibrant city feels like. It's a shame Bangkok has decided not to stand in the same league-- but then, your answer did sound rather thick-headed, so maybe that's the nature of the place. wrote in message ... When life was pure and when I was in school, I was taught by my teacher, (the p**ck, may he rest in peace). that only the below mentioned people prowl around the earth between the hours of 12 midnight and 6 the next morning: 1. Drunks too inebriated to go home. 2. The homeless with no where to go home to. 3. Perverts out for one last quick one before going back to the fat slob of a wife. 4. Dracula out looking for supper. 5. Thieves and robbers who prey on those who has got no business being out in the streets at this ungodly hour. 6 The lazy unemployed who sleeps during the day and drinks at night. 7 The chronic insomniac on the prowl. So which category are you? :-)) On Wed, 3 Mar 2004 09:07:38 -0500, "Matt Kelly" wrote: I guessed you missed the sentence in my post that said I'm not interested in the sex trade.
