Thanks In September we stayed at the Holiday Inn Boston-Randolph - we thought the rates were very good (we didn't pre-book) - they run a free shuttle to the station but we found that driving to Quincey and parking in the station car park was convenient and didn't have a traffic problem (I think we were there on a weekend though). |

Boston hotel choice
My wife and I have stayed at the Best Western in Brookline which is located
next to the green line. It is on the major street which names escapes me (Commonwealth?). It is not far from Boston College. The room in which we stayed had a stove and frig. I checked recently, and the rate was around $90 per night. There are grocery stores (Star) in the area. There is parking. Tom "cpal" wrote in message om... A few years ago I was in Boston on a tight budget so I stayed out of town in Braintree, which had several affordable motels (stayed at a Ramada, I think), and it had a convenient train station which would take you into Boston. It is not 'out as far as possible', rather it is quite close to Mass Gen and has a lovely view of the river. However, the rate was completely reasonable, it was easy to get from there to anywhere and we will stay with them again on future visits. cheers, Henry |
