Default where to visit in south CA? Southern CA

om...
Can anybody help me?

I am a new comer here (a "new" comer to USA too). Nice to meet you
guys.

I plan to have a trip in south CA in the upcoming winter holiday.

First of all, you need to get your terminology straight. The area is called
Southern California, not south CA. It encompasses a huge area full of all
kinds of touring possibilities. If you can tell us some of your interests
(architecture, scenery, beaches, mountains, shopping, restaurants, museums,
etc., etc.), many of us'd be able to help.

Can
anybody recommend some nice places in LA and San Diego? Since I've
only been in the US for one year, actually I have not ideas about what
places to visit.

I really appreciate your responses. Thanks. :-)
