Hi Cindy.
I'm looking at your responses at a point where you have two smal threads
going -- both of them pretty idiotic. This has a way to degenerating into
an inane discusstion (or rant) about why So. Calif. is or isn't a good place
to visit. I live in the northern part of the state, but I grew up there
and have lived all over Los Angeles and Orange County (including Newport
Beach).
There's quite a lot to see, and your best bet is to Google both locations
unless some kind soul comes up with a comprehensive list for you. That does
happen, but only once in a while.

Going to the beach in winter is nice. You don't have to swim (the water IS
too cold for most). Just hang around and listen to the ocean. Very nice
when the summer crowds are gone. You can do this in L.A., Newport, or San
Diego.

You sound way to intelligent for an amusement park, which is basically for
the low IQ, easily entertained person. Unless you go just for thrilling,
rough, scary rides. In that case Disneyland probably isn't the best one.
Again, you can research on Google.

BTW, you shouldn't cross post. Pick a newsgroup that matches your subject
matter and just post there. Lot's of us won't even read these cross-posted
messages. I can't find a copy of the FAQs right now, but it will tell you
that cross-posting is a no-no.

Have a nice visit to Calif. Don't even think about earthquakes. The
average Californian feels one maybe every 10 years. I've been in one strong
one, and that was in (I think) 1951. Not an issue here.
