Default Can you identify which Asian island this is ?

Can anyone please identify which Asian island or country, this
apparently is :

A mythical dragon was flying from China to Singapore to meet her
beloved.
She stopped in the ocean, abandoning true love to become an island and
give pleasure to passing travellers.

You may have got your tale wrong. Dragons are usually male not female. In
this case, the tale would be difficult to tell.

My guess is also TIOMAN island in the east coast of Malaysia.

Long time ago.. I heard of this tale when I was a kid growing up in Mersing.
