Smokers Win!
Stephan,
We have the same thing in S.Florida. We have the auxilarary police , especially in the beach area, who keep in contact with the Sheriffs Department by radio and report suspicious actions . They cannot arrest anyone or carry weapons but they sure are a friendly sight to a lot of people especially the merchants in town SUNNY...........appreciates what they do leaving the police force to do their jobs S'nd I |

Sunny is correct as to Auxilary police. I do not stop drivers, tho I
follow them for DUI with the State Patrol or CPD to nab them, then I goto court. I do traffic direction for special events, baseball, football, blackouts, as well as closing streets to keep folks safe in a drug bust, warrant arrest by the Sheriff, COD SWAT or FBI, looking for teens causing trouble on nightly drives, even filling in for ill crossing guards & during a storm the power lines down & hot at 5000 volts. I also look for missing people, have been latched to a safety line to retrieve a child from a swollen river. As well as people not belted in a traffic accident that they have become a hood ornament or beheaded, so I have to sit them up & put their head between their hands in their lap (keep boldily fluids in tack). So online jerks are a joke to what I see & do. If they get to you just killfile them or ignore the posts. We are a fun & informative bunch. (villa deauville) wrote in message ...
