Any good discount tickets for travel in Switzerland?

Dear Travelers: I'm interested in learning about discount packages or
tickets while traveling in Switzerland. I assume there such a thing as a
Swiss Train Pass? How about hotel discounts? Thanks and best, MR

Individual fares are expensive ,lots of various passes, If you want to
do lots of traveling , by train, boat, town buses or postbus the swiss
pass and the twin pass is the most cost effective. continious daily
travel for several set periods from 4 days, longer the period the best
discount .
Next probably the flexipass individual days within a set period.

They not cheap but well used they can save a lot and are very
convienient as you can change your mind where you go. Discount only on
some mountain lines.

Hotel discounts not easy to get, largly it seems the price is the
price. try www.minotel.ch chain 3 for 2 offer. or 7 nights for the
price of 6 though the central site , helps to keep the cost down
Budget hotels www.rooms.ch also 7th night free
or the internet booking angencies thro a google search
