Do they tend to have days that have lower prices (and others with higher
prices)? Note, I'm not looking for days of the week to fly (the cruise
isn't changing days), but what day of the week they might lower prices
slightly.

The airlines have algorithms they use to issue what they believe is
the right price at the right time ... Different places like
farecompare, farecast, smartertravel, etc. have their ideas ... but
what did work for me once was looking Tuesday after 12 ...
sign up with these places that do the tracking for you ... you'll get
email alerts when prices drop ...

Tuesdays used to be "the best" time, but with inventory management,
the prices can change in about 30 seconds. With American, if you pull
up a price on their website, you have 10 minutes to book it at that
price, assuming you don't go off and price another set of flights.
After that, no guarantees.

1200 would be pm
0000 would be am

Note, the railroads never have anything with a time of exactly
midnight or noon. It's either 11:59 (am or pm, your choice) or 12:01
(pm or am, etc ...).
