Default Working holiday visa for over 30?

Does anyone know if it's possible to get a working holiday visa if
you're over 30? I've heard that people have met people who have
managed to do this, but has anyone here actually managed it?

Alternatively, I'd love to work there for a while - does anyone know
what my chances would be of turning up in, say, Sydney, finding a job
then getting a company to sponsor me for a visa (I'm 38 and an
accountant)?

Would suggest you look at http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/index.htm

Whilst you could come here as a tourist and explore work possibilities
during the visit, I believe you would need to return home again and re-apply
for a different category of working visa should you find a sponsor. You can
check this out by inquiry - see
http://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/visa...fessionals.htm for
details.

Hope the foregoing has been of some assistance.
