Your opinions of Travelzoo please

Hi, all.

For those of you who have booked through travelzoo . . . opinions,
please. We're looking at booking with them. Would appreciate your
experiences with them. TIA.

They are a fancy search engine that looks at a bunch of travel sites and
allows you to compare pricing and options. The ticket you book will
actually be from one of their listed sites. TravelZoo is a pretty cool
place ... I use it all the time for Hotels and flights. I don't
remember if it does cruises. Most of the travel search engines don't.

Travelzoo is not a travel agency. They collect a fee from travel
agencies for including their flights/hotels/cruises in the Travelzoo
listings. I have booked several Travelzoo specials including hotels,
cruises, flights, and packaged tours. As a matter of fact, we are
booked on one of the packaged tours to China this November. It was
listed in their weekly "Top 20" listing. Note that the trip was
actually booked through the SmarTours travel agency and Travelzoo had
no part in making the reservation. I've been more than pleased with
the specials I've located through Travelzoo. BTW there is a
Travelzoo.ca (Canadian) as well as a Travelzoo.com (USA) site.
