Texas to Guadalajara
I have posted several questions about an upcoming surf trip from Texas to
the area north of Puerta Vallarta. In light of the advice we have received, we have decided to drive from Texas to Guadalajara by way of San Luis Potosi and then from Guad to PV (this is the way to stay on toll roads, which I understand is a good thing). From Texas, we have the option of crossing at Nuevo Laredo or Matamoras. One person has recommended crossing at Matamoras and then taking toll roads to San Luis Potosi. Does anybody have experience driving either of these routes? Is one better than the other? We are leaning toward Matamoras because we are picking up a passenger in Corpus Christi and because we presume it will be less crowded and hence easier to cross the border there. Any thoughts? |
