Just flew this last week. Alaska is advertising a second nonstop SEA-DCA and
back, starting soon.

The exemption has been partially lifted for new entrants to the DCA
market courtesy of John McCain (who wanted n/s service to Phoenix).

They used to do this fare about 5 years ago (you had to buy a six-pack of
tickets), then discontinued it, but now it looks like they've brought it
back in response to growing competition from the Chinatown buses.
