What is the prettiest town in North America?

Lets keep towns with beaches out of the question for now.

San Francisco.

The scenery in Jackson Hole would be jsut as pretty if the town
never existed, but San Francisco is not only in a beautiful
setting, it is beautiful in itself.

Small town called Branson Alabama...passed through several springs
ago on the way to the Gulf...everything freshly painted white...picket
fences....beautiful flowers...wisteria hanging from
everything...sidewalks with American flags lining the streets...looked
like a Rockwell painting... It was just amazing...not a vacation
spot...but a place I plan to deliberately visit again sometime...

I'm thinking maybe Savannah GA is the prettiest I've seen. The
arrangement of squares with fine old mansions dating to the 18th
century; an attractive river walk; gracious welcoming people. I surely
enjoyed my visit last year!

My favorites are three towns with Turn-of-The-Century homes. Sorry all
three are by beaches.

Ocean Grove, NJ
Cape May, NJ
Key West, FL

Let's hear it? First of all, decide whether you mean "town" or "city".

Jackson Hole is not a city. It is a town.

Most cities are composed of (what would otherwise be) several "towns",
plus a "downtown" area. These "towns" are generally called
"neighborhoods" or "districts" or something like that. Should they
count, separately from the city itself? (e.g., if I say "Neighborhood X
in City A is pretty pretty", you can't counter with an objection that
neighborhood N in the same city is pretty ugly).

Secondly, what is this about keeping "towns with beaches out of the
question"? Why not keep towns with mountains out of the question, too?
Or towns with colorful autumns? Or county seats with ornate
neo-Gothic courthouses? Why not keep "pretty" towns out of the
question? Why not ask "what is the prettiest ugly town in North America?".
