A huge winter storm that blew across the Midwest and East Coast was
headed to Canada today, leaving more than 2 feet of snow in some areas
and snarling holiday travel. At least 11 traffic deaths were blamed on
the bad weather.

NOW we know where our cold weather comes from!
"HEADED TO CANADA!" LOL!!

Yes, Having just spent time at Colonial Williamsburg and talking with
the "townsfolk of 1774" one realizes that this was an "economic"
revolution by the small number super rich gentry of the time. Those
that continued to buy British goods during the "boycott" were tar and
feathered or burned out. That is also shown in the film that
introduces one to the tours there. - There was no "democracy" here -
the revolutionists (insurgents perhaps) were committed to ruling
themselves and throwing off the British dominated trade regulations.
But to give the "common man" the right to vote for president... "no"
they created the Electoral College.. and only the (wealthy, white)
land owners were allowed to vote for any office. No not as awe
inspiring as it is portrayed today...

But any country that creates "Monday Night Football" is okay with me.
:-)

They like the beach!

It's a two way street! Go to Whistler BC or Mont Tramblant Quebec. 75%
of the visitors are America. They enjoy our winter recreation!
Personally your wouldn't find me heading south. No interest, I enjoy
skiing and snowmobiling too much.

And if you look at a map. You would see that Windsor Ontario, which is
south of Detroit, is at the same latitude as northern California.
