Default Boat from Kaohsuing to Macau

Hi all,

Does anyone know about the supposed weekly boat service between
Kaohsiung (Taiwan) and Macau ? After spending about a week in Taiwan I
want to reach mainland China, without flying. However, given that
there does not seem to any direct boat connection between Taiwan and
China, the boat from Kaohsiung to Macau sounds promising. I cannot
find any more information on this boat though.

Any other suggestions about sea routes from Taiwan to China are also
very welcome.

Thanks a bunch,
JM.

Maybe you can catch a ride on a freighter.

There used to be a boat named "Macmosa" that transported people between
Kaohsiung and Macau. That service ended about 10 years ago, and as far as I
know that ferry service is no longer in existence.

There are apparently ferry services between Keelung and Okinawa. Perhaps you
could then travel from Okinawa to China.
