Default Amalfi or Positano?

We have two days / three nights to stay on the Amalfi coast. Should
we stay in Positano or Amalfi?

We like walking around a town (is Positano too small?) and a bit of
shopping (touristy, not boutiques). We'd probably hike one day and
take the bus or a taxi to the other town the other day.

We've been to Amalfi for a couple of hours on a tour, but wouldn't
mind going back. How does Positano compare to Amalfi?

Personally I like Positano best. I would imagine Amalfi to be Positano's
equal regarding the spectacular hiking above the town. You knew of course
you can't go wrong. s

They're both small enough that a day or so in each would be enough, in
my view. I would do one night in each.

I preferred Positano, it just looks so much more spectacular.
