SearchAlert Luggage Tags

OK, these have been available for awhile... does anyone who has used
them have any comments? Have they gone through security checks
unscathed? Have they been cut off anyway? I'm wondering if I should
invest in them now or use up my combo locks first.

Have used the cheapo cable ties on many, many flights since 9/11 and have
had them cut only once. Can be a problem on hard-side non zipper bags, but
you can improvise.

I have used them, but have yet to have TSA open them. Go figure. But
locks work real well. If you haven't picked a company we use
tamperseal.com . They are based in Tampa.

Candy, last time I flew out of Miami I asked about using "TSA friendly"
locks at the Delta check-in counter. The gate agent is probably STILL
laughing. His comment was that if they had a key to open those locks, it was
probably "misplaced" already.

Use cable ties. I've only had them removed by TSA a couple times. I'm at 50%
as far as TSA replacing the tie with one of theirs.
