No, my IP is not *exactly* the same as the original poster who
used the website address as a name. Using my 'network' info, I can
see my IP as provided by the DHCP server, and it's different. I know
because I am required to enter my IP for some other things...and it's
not that .205 or whatever it is.

Perhaps you're mixing up your ISP-assigned IP address with one that you're
assigned by a local NAT router.

Everyone will know (nothing about you in particular, just that's how it is).

Bull****. They might THINK they know, but that's just arrogance
and prejudice. People in Ontario act and talk just like
Americans.

To the casual observer, sure. But to people who see foreigners all day long,
it's pretty easy to pick them out. I've met many people who are uncanny in
this ability.

Yeah, uh-huh. Like the people who claim they can "spot a Jew a
mile away."

Don't take my word for it (and I don't see the point of subtle implications
that it's anti-semitic to disagree with you). Next time you're someplace
with a substantial tourism-service street culture (guides, etc.) strike up a
conversation with someone who's soliciting business and ask them to guess
the nationalities of other tourists as they walk by. Then double-check with
a few.

I've done it, and I was impressed.

I can't wait to buy one for my trip to Mexico.

Combining obvious Americanness with a T-shirt disclaiming such would
probably come off as pretty weird.

I think a T-shirt that says, "No, I don't want an extended warranty!" might
sell as well during the holidays.
