www.aa.com

You are not limited to searching for flights on AA.

Set your Country to UK.

One way to answer your question is to find out who has the largest market
share for flights between Dallas and Las Vegas. If one goes to
http://farereport.com/, you'll find out that American Airlines has the
largest market share at 47%. American West, with a market share of 33%, has
the lowest average fare.

In a few months I will need a first class, one way ticket from Dallas to
Las
Vegas. I will be making this purchase from the UK. Any recommendations on
which is the best web site to use, and which carrier is best in First on
that route would be much appreciated, thank you.

American Airlines.

Keep in mind if you are a foreign national and you turn up for a one-way
flight to a major city like Las Vegas you may be subject to more intense
security checks.

A return ticket might prove less of a hassle and will probably be about the
same price.

I live in Dallas and have flown the route. America West probably has the
best first class fares on the route, but don't expect too much in the way of
inflight service on the route. The only ther nonstop carriers are American
and Delta, but Delta is discontinuing service in January on the route as a
part of their closure of their DFW hub.

I'd check America West's and American's websites, at www.americawest.com and
www.aa.com, respectively. Other carriers flying the route are Continental
(via Houston) and United (via Denver.

Install sidestep from sidestep.com, since it will search all the
travel web sites, and includes airlines you won't find on all the
other sites. Discounts in first class are rare on domestic flights.
It's often cheaper to book directly with the airline since there are
no extra fees.

I just booked two flights on American. For one flight, SFO-MIA over
XMAS, the AA web site was $600 less than the fares on Expedia, Orbitz,
and Travelocity.

On the other flight I used Sidestep, which found the flights I wanted
for $120 less than the AA site, on Orbitz, while Travelocity and
Expedia had the same price as the AA site (even higher due to the fees
they charge).
