Currency in Southern Africa?? Dollars or Rand?
Hi Riverman You can change US or Rand in Zimbabwe, but be careful whom you change it with, street peddlers will do their best to rip you off and be careful not to bring it to the attention of the police, you can change it now at a bank at what is called the auction rate which is lower than the black market rate but a lot safer. Last i heard the black market for US$ was around 9000 to 1 and the auction between 5 and 6000 to 1. IF you do it on the black market make sure that you trust the person. As already mention do not use a creadit card!!!! Should you like any further infomation please feel free to email me Regards Mark Homann -- Chomkuti ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chomkuti's Profile: http://travelforums.org/forums/member.php?userid=228 View this thread: http://travelforums.org/forums/showthread.php?t=18355 This post was submitted via http://www.TravelForums.org |
