We were looking into it for a trip next year. You have to have some kind of
letter or certificate from the rental company allowing you to take the car
out of South Africa or into Namibia. Some companies indicated that there
was no charge for this, but others indicated they would have a 15 or 25 rand
documentation charge.

Hello
I am planning a trip to Namibia/S.Africa and thought to rent a car in
Johannesburg and then drive to Namibia and back. Do rental companies
in S.A charge more if you take your car to Namibia ?
thank you
george
