Southwest and Frontier both at DIA -- will United finally DIE?
I recently flew United for the first time in many years, and found it
to be comfortable, well-organized, and on schedule. The major leg of the trip (BOS-DIA) even occurred on a spiffy newish plane. I *am* glad to see no-frills airlines letting some fresh air into the pricey and hermetic Denver market for the first time in years (of course, that one-way ticket on three days' notice after a change in plans by my boss would have cost a few hundred bucks on most airlines anywhere). But the tangible offerings of United seemed above average for coach class on USAmerican airlines these days and they were quite nice about it all. One opinion based on small-sample statistics, worth what you paid if your connect time is cheap, --Joe |
