Golden Temple at Amritsar, India

While the Golden Temple is
#6 on the BBC list of "50
Places to See Before you Die"
it does not appear to be on any
of the usual "once around Northern India" tours run by the
usual suspect tourist companies
catering to the American market.
I wonder why that is.
I have found some local Indian companies that run an overnight
tour there from Delhi, but am
wondering if it could be done as
a one-day trip from Delhi, as I will
have only one day I can break away from my group in Delhi. limited.

It is too far out of the way from the standard Delhi-Agra-Rajasthan
itinerary.

Could you fly there and back on the same day? Check out Indian

Jet airways is way better than indian airlines. SO check them out.
