Default Just Business Incentives (JBI)

Hi,

I was wondering whether anybody has had any dealings with Just
Business Incentives? They offer travel packs to places such as the
Gold Coast. At the moment, they're taking a looong time to get back to
me.

Thanks,

Bob

Sounds like "time share" to me.

If it is "time share", forget it.

Do they list an ABN number?

Cath

Sort of. They have an ACN that I successfully searched for

I live near the Gold Coast.

Never heard of them. Nor do they surface in a web-search.
The name implies time-shares.

Any firm that takes too long to respond have lost my
business. If they can't offer good communications now when
they want your cash - what will they be like if you strike
problems later after they already have it?

What sort of package were you looking for (no, I'm not in
the business:-)?

Cheers, Alan, Australia

Hi,

Yeah - they're pretty non-existent on the net. That's one of the
reasons for creating this post. The package they offered was airfares
($50 one way per person - airline fees are extra) and accomodation. We
could choose from various hotels in the Stella group. The flight costs
are what I was drawn to - and is what makes the holiday affordable. So
if you know of another package that is worth while, it would be
appreciated.

Thanks,

Bob

Hi,

What exactly is "time share"?

You've led a sheltered life:-)

Briefly, it is a system where holiday apartments are sold by
the week. In it's simplest form you purchase a specific week
in a specific building. However it has grown to be a complex
industry selling various versions of that, credits,
exchangeable holidays etc world-wide.

The concept is not bad as such, but the marketing of it is
cut-throat and extremely high-pressure and is also full of
shifty operators.

The promotors often offer you a free holiday or similar if
you will sit through a high-pressure sales pitch for a
couple of hours. I have a hide like a rhinocerous so I've
sat through a few without purchasing and cheerfully used
their free holiday - but it really is a full-on sales pitch.

A side issue is that many of the time-share companies or
even apartment complexes also offer the apartments for rent,
like a hotel room, when available. That's not a bad concept
but once again there are some sharp operators - so you need
to investigate before just putting in a booking.

Our Gold Coast is an industry centre both for Timeshare
companies and the telemarketers who push them.

Happily sheltered by the sounds of things. The accomodation is through
the Stella group (including Peppers, Breakfree and Mantra). I've seen
ads for these resorts on TV - so I'm guessing that they're not
timeshare. Thanks for the info.

Don't go near this group - they are a rip off. You pay $50 to get
"free" tickets which you can only use if you book a minimum of 7
nights at designated hotels. The catch is that the 7 nights have to
be paid at the full rack rate which can vary from the discount rate on
offer from the actual hotels by more than $500. In one cast the
difference was more than $1000. If you booked a business class flight
and booked your own accommodation you would still be better off.
