It is very typical to have only two adjacent seats. Many planes I travel in have 3 seats on the window side in economy, including 747s and the big Airbuses (typically 3-4-3) or 737s (3-3). I am happier to be in a 2 seat window side but on average I find more have 3 seats. But I suppose you think I am wrong too? Both are common, it does not mean that someone is wrong to say most have 3 seats - that is my experience too, taking around 30-50 flights per year, half and half long and short haul. |

Actually the big Airbuses (A330, A340) have a typical 2-4-2 configuration in economy. |

I just checked the seating for the routes I fly frequently with a 3 seat window layout and it is a 777 not an Airbus, sorry! Shows how much notice I take of which plane I am on, only used it about 100 times. The Airbuses I use on the same routes are indeed 2-4-2. |
