England: Budget + weather = when?

not in London this year, Ive forgotton what rain looks like!

You haven't been outside today then?

the downpour didn't start here (SE) till long after I wrote that.
I think I caused it by buying roofing felt, not a wet weather
job! Still, sunny again today, so its up on that roof.

Yes, it's your fault.

Sunny again here in Essex too, but feels about 10 degrees colder than
this time yesterday. Long trousers for the first time since June. I guess
we all have to stop boasting on r.t.e. about the record-breaking English
summer now!

Still, in the NW the threatened ground frost didn't materialise last
night, and it was just the right conditions for it- cool, clear skies.
I've still got quite a few roses beginning to bloom- so the garden is
still flourishing with colour.
