Shuttle van from Heathrow to London center
Soon eight of us will arrive together at Heathrow airport and need to get to
our hotel in the center of London. I found AirportTransfers.biz on the Internet. They do transfers by car and minivan service. For five or more people the charge is 15 GBP per person, with no hidden charges (so they say). Has any one used their services or does anyone have any other recommendations? Thank you in advance. You'll need two minivans, plus pick-up outside the customs, at £108. Alec |

Why go to the extra expense of something bigger if you still have to pay for two drivers? It would seem pointless booking a 'van' for 8 unless you only need one of them tim Alec |

Jeanne The airport shuttle bus service cost 15GBP per adult (half that for children) including an open return ticket, which is half the cost of the service you describe. The shuttle doesn't drop you off at your hotel doorstep, so you'll need to determine for yourself whether your hotel is close enough to walk with your luggage or take a taxi from your dropoff point, since you didn't specifically say where your hotel is located. If anyone in your party has more luggage than they can easily manage on their own, then it's probably best to pay extra for Terminal-to-door service (or educate them on the benefits of travelling light.) http://www.nationalexpress.com/nxairport/heathrow.cfm |
