Check out the per capita rate of lung transplants US vs, France. I did
once to enlighten *the Socialist, American ex-pat, Evleth, but google
should be able to help you retrieve it also.

That should give you an *idea of the rationing inherent in your Euro
style Socialized medicine schemes but like Evleth, I doubt you will be
able to relate to it let alone admit it due to your religious- like
fanatacism.

The proof is always in the pudding: Sweden and 36 other Marxist
countries are ahead of the U. S., some so poor they don't have a
single carrier group.

On the posting prior to yours, I already presented the stats on
lung transplants, the US and French rates are about the same.
In fact, with respect to need, there are more people waiting in
line for a transplant than lungs available. And with respect
to the total number done, they are not particularly high.
Donors are usually from those suffering heart attacks.

The US like most countries has a 65 yr old age limit on candidates
and they have to have given up smoking for long period before
the transplant. I was 78 when I was diagnosed having pulmonary
fibrosis and did not even inquire as to a lung transplant possibility.
I did decided to be in a clinical program testing a new medicine.

So who's retirement are paying in to? NOT yours I gather?

The dying genetically ill pay for the healthy to live more comfortable
in their old age, they get NOT just a long life but an extra special and
rich long life, courtesy of those that are genetically programmed to die
young....

The Myth of Americans' Poor Life Expectancy

'It’s one of the most oft-repeated justifications for socialized
medicine: Americans spend more money than other developed countries on
health care, but don’t live as long. If we would just hop on the
European health-care bandwagon, we’d live longer and healthier lives.

At 80 years old and 175 lbs at 6'2" myself, agreed'

However, the overall obesity rate is heavily skewed by a particular
segment of our population.

The Office of Minority Health indicates that African American women
have by far the highest rates of being overweight or obese compared
to
other groups in the U.S. while African American males have a much
lower rate, relatively eual to the obesity and overweight incidence
in American white males

http://minorityhealth.hhs.gov/templa...t.aspx?ID=6456
excerpt:

" * African American women have the highest rates of being
overweight or obese compared to other groups in the U.S. About four
out of five African American women are overweight or obese.1
* In 2009, African Americans were 1.5 times as likely to be obese
as Non- Hispanic Whites.
* In 2009, African American women were 60% more likely to be
obese
than Non-Hispanic White women.
* In 2007-2008, African American children were 30% as likely to
be
overweight than Non-Hispanic Whites...."

It STILL has a state funded system for healthcare.....

So?
They have choice and no Swedes go without care

Private healthcare is capitalism.... not socialism.

Your labels don't mean a thing to the patient receiving the care

Neither does the word "socialism" go toward healing him. So what's your
point??

You fail to recognize freedom as part of the medical care.

That is built in with the French system, freedom from worrying
how to pay for medical bills.

That's NOT freedom it's addiction to the euphoric feeling of NOT having
any responsibility.

I suffer from an incurable lung
disease which will eventually kill me. The Secu has assigned
me special status, 100% coverage. So I don't pay anything for
the 600 euro a month for the oxygen I must have.

You pay taxes at 75% and you pay for retirement for others that you will
never enjoy....

Sure it is. That is why all attempts and debates on health care reform
are so laughable.
