JFK to LaGuardia

I too am surprised they can get away with it. It wasn't _quite_ so bad, when they checked bags through and provided free shuttle service to their connecting passengers. Now, though, it's the pits. Once. long ago, our BCal (those were the days...)flight from IAH very late, we were transfered by helo to catch a particularly nasty BA Viscount shuttle to Edinburgh. This, about (1980 or so) must have been one of those nadirs of BA's existence. The a/c was filthy (and since it wasa Viscount, old, tired too), and the cabin crew displayed all the insouciance of the counter staff an unbranded convenience store soewhere down IH95. The helo was fine, flying within spitting distance of Windsor. TMO I do this all the time and if you call a car service it's a bit less expensive than a yellow cab ($16.50 flat rate-----no meter------plus tip). There are two that I use: Sureway (718 805-0606; 718 441-1100) and Kew Gardens (718 846-6666; 718 846-5800). The price may be going up soon because of the cost of gas but........it's still gonna be cheaper than a yellow cab. Cassie |
