Still looking for information about Seoul Airport. Am I likely to be able
to book hotels downtown at a discount via touts, or hotel reps at the
airport or should I book on the internet from home. Thanks. Sue

I've been to Seoul many times, and don't recall a lot of hotel reps at the
airport. I'd book on-line if I were you.

You can see a list and map of 39 of the major hotels in Seoul on my web
site: http://nordicgroup.us/koreagen/korea.htm

I have not stayed in any low cost hotels in Seoul, but the least expensive
place I stayed was Radisson Seoul Plaza, which was still not cheap. Try
something like the President or the Koreana.

Just beware that the star ratings are very subjective. I stayed in a three
star hotel in Songtan, and it was quite awful despite being the best hotel
in town.

Also note that there is no such place as Seoul airport. There is the
international airport in Incheon, and the Gimpo domestic airport.

The old Seoul airport (Gimpo), which is mostly just for domestic
flights now, probably still doesn't have much at the airport to help
you. The new Incheon airport (mostly international) does have a booth
to help you make hotel reservations. in general, though, you are more
liekly to get better rates booking online in advance. Also, if you
have a reservation before you arrive, you don't need to worry about
arriving during a sold out period.

Please see www.lifeinasia.com/hotels/korea/seoul for a wide range of
hotels in Seoul.
