Cheapest way to go Easter Island from Sydney?

It was really hard to find your message amongst all the tags! It's Thunderbird here! Any problem from others? For people with properly configured newsreaders, it's unreadable, i.e. they either see nothing or the HTML source. I saw nothing (i.e. an empty response) and only looked at the (hard to read) HTML-source because your response was a response to Reece's, who talked about the HTML problem. Your original posting was OK. That was in "text/plain". Your responses were in "text/html" (without a (earlier) text/plain part). So check in Thunderbird where you can set plain text or no-HTML or something like that. [deleted] Thanks. You are right that I am posting using HTML style. I suppose this is easier to read, so long as you configure your newsreader to handle HTML properly. Anyhow, will post both text and HTML. (eg. this one) - stickyrice |

I suppose this is easier to read, so long as you configure your newsreader to handle HTML properly. Anyhow, will post both text and HTML. (eg. this one) HTML does not belong in Usenet/News postings, *except* in those groups where it is *specifically* (i.e. in the charter, etc.) welcomed. What you are doing now (multipart/alternative with (first) a text/plain part and (then) a text/html part) is *better* than HTML-only, but it isn't *good*. Many people will filter/killfile your articles (because they contain HTML) and so will some News servers. So it's in *your* interest to post in plain-text-only (text/plain). |
