I just got a call from my daughter who lives in the Perinne area of
Miami. She went through Andrew there.

She said they've been preparing for a week or more. School is out and
will be out tomorrow too. Sunday her husband went to put up the
shutters on a friend's house - he's got them but never installed them
because every time there's a hurricane threat he has to do his boss's
house and then his mom's house, and he never get's time to do his own.
She said he (her husband - my SIL) has prepared his dad's house, and
his dad who lives in the Gables is going to come to them for the
hurricane like he did the last time - (he didn't learn from the last
time she said).

My daughter flies for AA, and she said she's sitting reserve this
month. She volunteered for a flight yesterday, but they had to cancel
the flight today because they could not get enough flight attendants.
The FAs have said - no we are not coming to work, we are going to take
care of our homes. She said she doesn't blame them - they aren't paid
that much.

She said the ones that were there have been working without a break
since 8-31 and just need to go home and see that their families are
safe. She said the pax were mad, but she didn't blame the FAs. She
herself has said that she will be glad to fly passengers, because her
husband can take care of the house, but if they just want the planes
moved, not to call her - someone else can do that.

Saw on tv downtown Delray Beach all boarded up. It is a very busy area.

HURRICANE FRANCES UPDATE

As Hurricane Frances approaches South Florida, the NCL corporate
headquarters and reservations offices will temporarily close beginning
3 p.m. EST Thursday, September 2nd and all day Friday, September 3rd,
allowing our employees and their families time to prepare.

NCL is sending a group of key staff to an offsite location to activate
a satellite reservations office as a contingency in the event it
becomes necessary. While uncertainty regarding the path of Hurricane
Frances exists, please continue to call the regular NCL number,
1-800-327-7030, for updates or visit our website at www.ncl.com.

Norwegian Dawn’s August 29th voyage has been adjusted, canceling calls
at both Great Stirrup Cay and Nassau, replacing them with a visit to
Freeport. The remainder of the NCL fleet is unaffected. We will keep
you advised of subsequent itinerary adjustments resulting from the
storm as necessary.

If you have customers whose travel arrangements may be impacted by
Hurricane Frances, we have a team of agents available to assist
wherever possible. To contact them, please call the regular NCL
number, 1-800-327-7030.

Thank you for your understanding with this temporary disruption of
service. We look forward to being fully operational as soon as
possible.
