I have no problem with HTML either; I killfile anybody who posts with
it.

Why?

Because I can't read HTML with my news client; I thought that was clear.

But apparently lots of people post in HTML without even knowing it.
Killfiling them all makes no sense.

HE makes no sense. You're trying to talk logic with an illogical person. Waste of time. Typical usenet traditionalist. If its
not what he wants he kills it. No wonder usenet is dying. So many people on it are idiots. Its a shame because its by far the
most efficient way of dispensing and sharing and discussing ideas.

If I can't read their posts, it makes perfect sense.

Bert, what would make more sense is for you to change usenet programs so you CAN read what a significant amount of people post. We
all agree that HTML posting is bad for usenet but all you can do is educate people and hope they change. Ignoring them really only
makes the matter worse. By not telling them they don't realize their errors. They all want to read and discuss. Its up to the
more experienced people to help them along that path, as, no doubt, others did when you first came on usenet.

4. If you pack 'microfibres' and you're going somewhere warm make sure
you pack lots of things because nobody will want to sit next to you
after you've worn them for more than two hours.

5. Anyone who has 'issues' about customs or security men running their
fingers through their underwear needs professional help.

6. For God's sake take your travel guide with you. It won't be
available at the other end.

7. Don't post in html, it irritates people and then they write nasty
posts ripping the **** out of your silly comments.

Great post William! Especially #4. The original was obviously written by someone not well travelled in humid and warm climates!
Its cotton all the way baby.
