Default Legend of the seas-Hawaii cruise missed maui

Just got off hawaii cruise on legend of the seas-rccl older ship in
need of repair...missed maui because of weather disallowing
tendering...so we went to honolulu for 24 hours 6 am to 6 pm-still
could not do luau...it rained in hilo...kona was okay and kauai was
kind of cool...still it seems cruise did not live up to expectations as
ship apparently will go to drydock in may for major renovation which i
believe it needs now...shows were good especially rccl singers, lenny
welch "you dont know me" 1960 and argentinian gauchos...oh well cruise
gods were not with us on this cruise........

I'm curious what was wrong with the ship to influence your opinion that
it needed dry-docking?? I was on the Legend this past March and found it to
be in quite good condition. Granted, there were a few places where it
needed some work, but to my eyes it was in pretty good shape. Maybe I
missed some things.

Carpeting was stained in many places...rusting along pool edges very
visible...in room window had streaks and dirty grouting was
visible...our trip was bumpy going to hawaii so there were a lot of
passengers who hurled and the aroma wafted at certain
areas...walking/running track was in need of repair...you have to
understand we had poor weather, lot of seasickness aboard and little
sun to lie under except in solarium...rccl did the best they could but
ship was not up to our expectations...we have been on ship 4 times and
have noticed deterioration...just my two cents!!

The ship will go to be refurbished in April or May according to crew
members with whom I spoke. You may check with cruise line....my opinion
is that this ship is being less maintained because of this anticipated
refurbishment,,,I cannot prove it to you...I can just tell you the ship
is not in the best shape and Merry Christmas to you too!!!!
