Yangon-Bagan-Mandalay-ShanState-Yangon-Bago-Kyaikhtiyo-Mawlamyaing-Yangon Program Details Day 1 : Yangon Pick up at Yangon airport and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Yangon. Day 2 : Yangon-Bagan ( Flight ) Morning flight to Bagan. Highlights of Bagan include Shwezigon Pagoda, Wetkyi-inn Gubyaukgyi Temple ( famous for its fine mural paintings of jataka scenes ), Htilominlo Temple, Ananda Temple ( an architectural master piece resembling a Greek Cross ), Dhammayangyi ( a massive temple with finest brickwork ), Lacquer ware Industries, Thatbyinnyu Temple ( the highest temple in Bagan ). Overnight in Bagan. Day 3 : Bagan-Mandalay ( Flight ) Morning flight to Mandalay. Shwemawdaw Monastery ( noted for its exquisite wood curvings ), Kuthodaw Pagoda ( famous for its stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures ), Kyauktawgyi Pagoda ( large Buddha images curved out of single blocks of marble ), Mandalay Hill, Mandalay Palace, Mahamuni Pagoda and Traditional Handicraft Workshop. Overnight in Mandalay. Day 4 : Mandalay-Heho-Pindaya-Kalaw ( Flight / Car ) Morning flight to Heho. Drive to a small quiet town Pindaya to visit Pindaya lake and Pindaya cave ( well known for its numerous Buddha images ). Enjoy the scenic beauty. After lunch proceed to Kalaw ( a beautiful pine-clad hill station ). Evening walk. Overnight in Kalaw. Day 5 : Kalaw-Inle Lake ( Car / Boat ) Morning transfer to Nyaung Shwe by car and sightseeing in Inle Lake by boat. Highlights include Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, the unique leg-rowers of the lake, weaving village of Inpawgone, wonderful floating gardens, floating market, village life and their ways of fishing in the lake. Overnigth in Nyaung Shwe. Day 6 : Inle-Heho-Yangon-Bago ( Flight / Car ) Morning transfer to Heho airport for the flight to Yangon. After lunch excursion to the ancient Mon capital Bago ( 80km north west of Yangon ). Tour highlights include Shwemawdaw pagoda ( one of the most venerated pagodas in Myanmar ), Shwethalyaung Pagoda, Kalyani Sima ( Ordination Hall ), Kyaikpun ( four high and huge Buddha images ). Overnight in Bago. Day 7 : Bago-Kyaikhtiyo ( Car ) Early morning leave Bago for a 130 km drive to Kyaikhtiyo. Kyaikhiyo Pagoda , one of the Buddhist holiest places in Myanmar, was built on a stone which is itself delicately balanced on the very edge of a cliff at an elevation of 1100 meters above sea level. It is a great unforgettable wonder for every eye witnesses. The 14 km hike starts at Kinmunn base camp. The breath-taking view of the Pagoda against the blue sky and mountain ranges is a greatest reward one could ever have. The hike takes average persons about 4 to 6 hours. Overnight at Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda. Day 8 : Kyaikhtiyo-Mawlamyaing ( Car ) After breakfast leave Kyaikhtiyo for a 90km journey to Mawlamyaing , capital of Mon State, passing over the Sittaung river. Upon arrival Mottama town cross the Thanlyin river by ferry boat to Mawlamyaing. Afternoon city tour include Kyaikhtanlan Pagoda, Mahamuni Pagoda, Paungpaw Pagoda and U Khan Ti Pagoda. Overnight in Mawlamyaing. Day 9 : Excursion to Kyaikamee & Kyaikmayaw ( Car ) Morning drive to Kyaikamee ( a small coastal resort and missionary center located 88 km from Mawlamyaing ). Visit Kyaikamee Yele Pagoda, Setsei beach, Durin Orchards. Afternoon proceed to Kyaikmayaw Pagoda built by Queen Shinsawpu in 1455. Overnight in Mawlamyaing. Day 10 : Mawlamyaing-Yangon ( Car ) Morning leave Mawlamyaing for a half day drive to Yangon. Evening visit to Shwedagon Pagoda, Chaukhtatkyi Pagoda, China Town. Overnight in Yangon. Day 11 : Yangon ( Departure ) Morning sightseeing of Yangon featuring Kaba Aye ( World Peace ) Pagoda, Maha Pasana Cave, National Museum, Botataung Pagoda, Bogyoke Aung San Market. After lunch transfer to the airport for the departure flight.
