Default United saver awards vs. regular awards

For United frequent flier miles, I know that you can get a "saver" award for
a domestic round trip for 25,000 miles, but there are so few frequent flier
award seats available from the small airport I fly out of that it's very
hard to get the flights I want. However, for a "regular" award using 50,000
miles for a domestic round trip, does this mean that there are not the
limitations, and I would get any available coach seat? Thanks.

On united.com's Promotions page, a "saver" award
is for a short trip of 750 miles or less using
15,000 points coach, 30,000 points business/1st.
Since many of these are regional jet flights,
the 15K option is the only realistic one.

These CRJ flights seem to be the only ones where
one can use their miles these days, I have been
able to get flights like ORD-YWG on United and
ORD-YYZ on American without problems.
