Working Holidays in UK (London)

Our 19 year old nephew is off too LOndon UK for a working holiday. He stayed at High school for 3 years without passing his HSC and has absolutely no skills (except conning people). What are his job prospects in London and also finding suitable accomodation.???? Also what are the visa requirements. TIA I'd recommend he skip London and head for Ireland. I remember reading an article in one of the Irish newspapers a couple of days ago about a former bin man turned "investment advisor", cheated people out of 770,000 Euros by promising them attractive rates of return. Seriously, he should be spending time on his studies instead of holiday making in Europe. |

TIA The state our country is in we'll probably welcome him with open arms, give him a 3 bedroom house and enough money to feed a family of 5 per week!! and f hes that good at conning people he'll fit in great with the people in london, Dont think so, London people are not that gullible, whats more they do have their dignity. You obviously havent been to the UK recently!!! |

London can be a very unforgiving place for those that travel there unprepared. |

Also what are the visa requirements. It would help if we knew the nationality !! I'm guessing that as you talk of an HSC that he's from Australia. The OP posted from IP Address 211.31.178.157 which is located: OPTUSINTERNET-AU descr: OPTUS INTERNET - RETAIL descr: INTERNET SERVICES descr: Chatswood, Sydney I think one can assume he's Australian. In which case he needs to look up the aforementioned 'working holidaymaker visa'. Loads of information at: http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/servlet/Fr...=1018721068240 and http://www.workingintheuk.gov.uk/wor...idaymaker.html I gather the financial qualification is the major hurdle... Would you like to tell me how you tracked my ISP provider via the IP address??? Just curious thats all. It was me who traced it using IPNetInfo - a small look-up utility. The method Craig mentioned is also very usable. There's also websites like DNSstuff etc. You can't hide :-) Lol. |

Luckily I had a good occupation that was in demand (IBM Computer Operator). I was averaging Two pounds and fifty pence per hour. believe me, ive lived there for 43 years! |
