Default weather in cook islands or fidji dec-march?

staying in brisbane from dec-march 05.
Would like to make a short trip to the cook islands or fidji
We have no idea about the weather this time of the Year?

we found that air new zealand has cheap prices on this route,
is this the best company to fly with?

Air NZ are a good airline. Others who fly the destination are Freedom Air;
Air Pacific and Qantas. Pacific Blue is to start a service - possibly worth
checking too.

One word - HOT. This is the wet/cyclone season as well as mid summer, that
is why there are good deals on as people do not visit at this time of year.
Do you really want to go in the wet season with high temperatures. It is
like living in a sauna and the air con may not always work where you stay.

There are not many bad cyclones that hit Fiji or the Cooks but if you get
one, well it could be life threatening. There was a real bad one that hit
Nuie ealier this year and bascially it trashed the island.
