Default GOA BEACHES

With the tourist season having started almost a month ago, a large
number of tourists, both domestic and foreign, have begun pouring in
Goa, their favourite tourism destination.

As usual the tourists throng the beaches across the state and venture
into the sea, the moment they land here. The number of tourists is
growing every year and the beach safety management appears to fall
short of the required measures.

A visit to Miramar and Calangute beaches by 'The Navhind Times'
reporter on Friday revealed that the tourists do not appear to care
for the warning signs displayed on the beaches, as they enter water
before doing anything else. A random survey revealed that they hail
from hinterland areas of the country and did not know swimming.
