One has to wonder how well the US government propaganda machine works.
Fifty years later, and still, people continue believing the party line.
:-) No wonder you guys won the cold war.

The Marshall plan *bought* Western' Europe on the US side of the cold war.
Some would say it mostly bought crooked politicians. The kind of folks
who went and offered their services to Hitler in 1940. Then proceeded to
London after Hitler said thanks but no.

As to the impact on rebuilding, comparing the differences between those
countries which bought into Marshall and those who didn't will give you
some clues.
