Check out CheapoVegas.com, which describes and rates Las Vegas
hotels, including the three you mentioned.

The hotels you mentioned are in the downtown, where the older casinos
are located. The newer ones are located a few miles away on The Strip,
which is where most tourists go. Some folks like the downtown area,
but some find it depressing.

If you plan to spend most of your time at the newer casinos on The
Strip, you might want to look for a hotel in that part of town. Prices
are higher in that area, but if you get a hotel that's a few blocks
away from The Strip the prices will be lower.

i went one time in Luxor, a beautiful Hotel, this summer i want to choose a
very cheap hotel, but clean and safe, not like the hotels i saw in CSI Las
Vegas :-)!!
i don't like to play poker or slots, the hotel must be a safe place to sleep

These places are all clean with good service. They are a long distance from
the fancy new hotels on the strip, however.

In 3 weeks I am staying at the Orleans for $30/night.
Sounds too cheap, but people here assure me it is decent.
I will let you know in 3 weeks.

Good luck.

Your English is much, much better than my Italian (or any other language for
that matter!) B-)

It's been a little while since I've been there but any of the three that you
mention are fine. The downtown casino/hotels on Fremont Street (Four
Queens, Golden Nugget, Fitzgerald's, etc.) are good but they are a bit away
from all the Las Vegas glitz that you'd get out on the strip. The "Fremont
Street Experience" light show is worth a look but there's not a lot more to
do downtown besides the casinos.

(If you decide to stay at the Plaza if you can get a lower floor room in the
front middle you'll be able to look straight down the Fremont Street plaza.
Awesome sight if you're low enough to see the light show from your room.)

Most motels downtown are very inexpensive, even with cable TV &
swimming pools. I stayed at the Downtowner, which was very cheap &
comfortable. Two blocks away is the El Cortez, which has breakfasts
for $2 & less. From downtown, you can take buses to the Strip. Go to
www.globosapiens.net/shotclog & look up my report on Las Vegas.
