Power outlets at SLC???

Does any one out there know if there are power outlets at SLC where I
can plug my laptop computer in to? I a long 6 hour layover there and am
not sure who long my battery will last.

I'd be quite surprised if there weren't. Other than Vienna, I've never been
to an airport that didn't have outlets accessible.

Of course. Where would the custodial staff plug in the floor cleaners
and other equipment. I have been to SLC before and numerous other
airports, and I have never had a problem plugging in my laptop. I do
carry a six foot extension cord with me so that if I am not able to find
a seat within two or three feat of a power outlet, I can usually find
one within six feet.

easy to they were to access.

Not a problem, but sometimes you have to be willing to sit on the floor
when all the power outlets near the seats are in use by other travelers
who have laptops. Carrying one of those six foot extension cords from a
dollar store helps greatly in some situations.

I not only carry one of those, but I have a passthrough port on the end
-- So I can plug-in without using up an outlet.

Even if they're already all taken, I can usually talk someone into
letting me plug-in too since it just means I unplug them for about 3
seconds.

I don't even take my laptop out of my bag if I have a short layover, I
just leave it in the bag and have everything pre-wired and ready to
roll. Inside my bag I typically have my laptop and my portable DVD
player connected. I could also connect up some other chargers, but I
rarely run out of juice on anything else.

Where was this?

I've seen it in several airports, but I don't know if it was to keep
children from electrocuting themselves (I thought it was to discourage
laptop users from sitting on the floor in the corridors). SFO comes
to mind, and I know there were several on the USA east coast.
