Costa Rica - Looking for tour groups
Hi all,
My sister & I (middle aged or so) are looking for a tour to take to costa rica. We like to do gentle hiking and are looking forward to seeing the off-the-beaten-path kind of places. We are looking for a tour that will keep us in touch with the country, and prefer not stay at big, full service resorts. Any suggestions? Thanks |

Costa Rica - Looking for tour groups
I'm not into group travel, but I did travel with Overseas Adventure
Travel to Turkey some years ago. I thought they did a wonderful job; we stayed in locally-owned hotels, ate in small local restaurants, definitely went off the beaten path, stayed with an elderly couple in a village in the mountains, spent six nights on a traditional wooden boat and hiked overland from one anchorage to another. They are owned by Grand Circle Travel, which caters more to middle-aged travelers. Either company I think could accomodate you to your liking.
