Co-Double mileage for elite?

Has Continental matched the United offer to their elite flyers?For $100 flyers
receive double credit toward elite status for flights between Oct.15 and
Dec.15.

In a different fashion yes. Bonus miles depends on how much you pay.
Not sure if they are qualifying or not.

Don't think so, but why should CO match UA for anything?

CO is already giving so many bonus miles that I seem to have great
difficulty keeping my FFM less than 1/2 million, even though I am
using them at the rate of about 1/2 million a year. But they keep
coming back. :-)

I already have 125% bonus miles every time I fly CO. That's more
than double, right? In addition, there are special promos such as:

Between 8/15 abd 11/15, there are bonus miles from booking with
Chase credit cards, for everyone. There are bonus miles for booking
online, and to promotional destinations.

I think the sucker-deal (having to PAY to get bonus miles) similar to
the one cited by you will be available to EVERYONE the entire 2004:

I say it's a "sucker deal" because you can get bonus miles (without
paying anything extra) on soooooooooooooo many things that includes
hotel stay, car rental, dining, charge card, etc., that I am pretty
sure I am getting some bonus miles on things I don't even know about.

may be looking for.

I thought the UA offer was to give you double credit toward getting
elite status. This is a bit different than the double mile bonuses you
were referring to. If you need the miles to make Elite Status, it might
be worth $100.

CO offers double mileage credited towards elite status if you fly F (not on
an upgrade, but a purchased ticket) or, I think, if you fly Y.

Yes,the double credit with United goes to elite qualification.

Actually that is all they are for, you can't use them for travel.
