LOL! Why is it that you never can seem to remain silent when it will benefit
your position, but rather insist on digging your hole deeper? I'd judge 54
for Vitaly and Zero for Sjoerd. KM

Don't you have your meeting at politboro to go to now?

Lenin's "useful idiots" were never allowed near the Politburo or the

or some such rot. They ran out of time ``correcting
the mistake'' 60 years ago, and are now hoping that someone else will
finish the job for them. To quote MLK:

``... You declare, my friend, that you do not hate the Jews, you are
merely 'anti-Zionist.' And I say, let the truth ring forth from the

high
mountain tops, let it echo through the valleys of God's green earth:
When people criticize Zionism, they mean Jews--this is God's own truth.
Antisemitism, the hatred of the Jewish people, has been and remains a
blot on the soul of mankind. In this we are in full agreement. So know
also this: anti-Zionist is inherently antisemitic, and ever will be

so.''

Yawn. So boring and nothing new nor original.
Sjoerd

In other words you can't offer a rational rebuttal, but, don't have the good
sense to remain silent and be thought a fool when you can respond and be
proved a fool. KM

Tut tut. Sjoerd might be an arrogant European hypocrite, and he is
a certainly an envious America-basher, but he is not guilty of moral
relativism. Let me remind you of a few of Sjoerd's pronouncements on
the subject of Israel:

``The Israelis are the Nazis of our time''
``Let's face it: there is no longer a need for a "Jewish state".''
``The creation of Israel was a huge mistake and it is time to correct

it''

No amount of money, influence, persuasion or words can possibly paint
Leftwing Liberals in a worse light than they gladly portray themselves. KM

The IDF can't help it that "Palestinian" terrorists are cynically using
women, children, and old men as human shields in their terrorist nests.

Proves my point about Islam being a "religion of death", doesn't it,
Sjoerd...???

- it embraces life and learning
and vitality and intellectual inquiry and accomplishment and trying to

do
the best one possibly can while one is living one's short life on this
planet. You might say that Judaism is the religion of winners, while

OTOH
Islam is the religion of losers. I'm an atheist, but I prefer to cast

my
lot with the winners of the world, thus my respect for Judaism and the

state
of Israel, who have persevered despite pretty crummy odds....

Your hate for everything Muslim is clear. Hasn't your mother taught you

that
there are good people and bad people everywhere?

I don't consider adherents of Islam as "good" people. At best they are
backward, stupid, and deluded, at worst they are a danger to society and the
world at large.

In article ,
Sjoerd wrote:
``After WWII which ended 57 years ago FYI America did nothing for
Europe. (yes, Marshall Aid, but that was paid back more, much more
than 100%)''

Remember that the USA and many countries in Europe are in an *alliance*
called NATO? We have a treaty, where we both contribute to a defence

system.

In other words, you lied when you claimed that ``America did nothing for
Europe.'' At the very least, America contributed to Europe's defense,
except that ``contributed'' is not the right word. On its own, Europe
is incapable of dealing with a bunch of hoodlums in the Balkans,
let alone facing down the Soviets.

American nukes saved *you*, Sjoerd, from being born a Soviet slave and
from rotting in prison for the crime of being gay. If not for America,
you'd be dealing with secret police in the 1980s (that you claim -
yet another lie - Eastern Europeans are nostalgic for), instead of
America-bashing and perverted tourist jaunts to Poland and Cuba.
So stop lying that ``America did nothing for Europe.''

Yes, and by all means have Sjoerd extol the virtues of homosexual rights and
gay marriages in Poland! And don't confuse him with the fact that only one
European country paid back all it's war debts to the United States or remind
him that America forgiving the debts doesn't qualify as "paying" them. KM

P.S. That country WASN'T the Netherlands. KM

You Americans have been indoctrinated all your lifes that *everything*

about
socialism is bad.
Sjoerd

Not everything about socialism is bad. For instance the collapse of the Union
of Soviet SOCIALIST Republics was wonderful. And it's funny how all those
socialist countries are doing so much better since they're thrown off the
yoke of Soviet socialism. When capitalist West Germany existed, it was weathy
and prosperous compared to socialist and poverty stricken East Germany.
Capitalist South Korea is an economic dyanamo while socialist North Korea
wallows in some of the most extreme starvation poverty on the planet.
Capitalist Taiwan and capitalist Hong Kong were major economic players in the
world and created immense wealth while their neighbor with the largest
population in the world, socialist China languished for decades as a third
world economic power beset by remarkable poverty and lack of modern
conveniences for the vast majority of their poor people. Visit any socialist
country and you'll see widespread poverty and the absence of what North
Americans, Europeans, Japanese and Australians consider necessities whether
it be Cuba, Vietnam or a host of other socialist disasters. Yeah, let's hear
it for the greatest economic crises' turned catastrophes of the last few
centuries - socialism! Give me a break. Idealists who favor socialism have a
soft spot in their heads. KM

"The strongest argument for socialism is that it sounds good. The strongest
argument against socialism is that it doesn't work. But those who live by
words will always have a soft spot in their hearts for socialism because it
sounds so good."

This is the same IDF whose sniper, armed with a rifle and telescopic
sight, shot British aid worker Iain Hook in the back, in broad daylight,
at a range of 25 metres.

The same IDF which prevented an ambulance from reaching him for 25
minutes.

The same IDF whose spokesman came up with a bogus story about the
incident, which had to be changed after being proven to be false.

An inquiry was promised about these events. I've just searched the
Jerusalem Posts website but can't find any details of the promised
inquiry and its results. Perhaps I've missed it - can you point to any
links?
