Jetstar plans service expansion

Jetstar will offer more than 100 extra services a week by January 5.

The airline will increase its services as three additional Airbus
A320s are added to its fleet from December 1.

Among the 100 extra services will be a new Sydney-Whitsunday Coast
(Proserpine) route that will be offered three times weekly from
December 1.

An additional daily flight will be added on the Newcastle-Melbourne,
Newcastle-Brisbane, Sydney-Hobart and Sydney-Sunshine Coast routes.

Two additional daily flights will be added to the Gold Coast-Sydney
route, while an extra flight will also be added to the Melbourne
(Avalon)-Brisbane schedule from January 5 to 31.

Jetstar CEO Alan Joyce said the new flights and additional capacity
would represent a 16 percent increase in its current flight schedule.

The airline is running an online sale until midnight on October 6 to
mark its network expansion.
