Default Sunrise Resort, Connecticut

My husband and I were married at the Sunrise Resort in Moodus,
Connecticut and it truly was the outdoor wedding of our dreams. The
staff were so calming and so helpful; they worked with our DJ, band
and family to help the wedding go perfectly. The food was absolutely
spectacular. We love Barbeque and that is what we had. Guests raved
about the food and the wonderful time they had at our wedding weeks
and even months later. The price was so reasonable, we almost felt we
were stealing from them. I cannot say enough about the wonderful
family oriented staff at the Sunrise Resort and how they did
everything possible to make our wedding day the way we truly wanted it
to be.
We had such a wonderful wedding that we decided to go back to
celebrate our one year anniversary. It was so nice as the owner and
some of the main staff even recognized us and seemed so happy to see
us back for our anniversary. We had a wonderful time. It is such a
relaxing place for a family or a couple just like us.
There is a huge pool, hot tubs, a small pool hall, the Salmon river
where they have canoes and paddleboats, all types of sports activities
like volleyball, basketball, and lesser known games such as bocci,
shuffleboard and lots of staff structured and unstructured activities
for kids and adults alike. But, the best part about the Sunrise Resort
is truly the hospitality and enthusiasm of the staff. What a great
place to spend some time!
