Default Help with San Juan Hotels

Hi all. After reading this group for several months I decided on booking
our own airfare and hotel for our next cruise. In the past I had a TA do
this for us.

I'm am booked for the Sept. 18th. cruise on the NCL Sky out of San Juan,
have started to check into air and hotel bookings. Doesn't look as if air
will be too hard to arrange, already found AA from the west coast at half of
what NCL wanted for air.

I've never been to San Juan so I'd appreciate suggestions on what hotels to
use and what method to set up reservations (direct, on-line sites, etc.) We
would like to arrive on Sat. and have a day to unwind before boarding.

We would like a room that be easy to get to from the airport and then to the
port. It'll be a late check-in, just need a nice place to spend the night.

This is only our second cruise so I'll appreciate any suggestions you might
offer.

Thanks, Bill.

We stay at the Caribe Hilton and love it. I think most would agree it's one
of the best hotels to stay at. Take a peek http://www.caribehilton.com/

Hi Bill,
If you want to be right by the pier, I'd suggest the Wyndham Old San Juan. Its
right across the street from the pier so you can see the ships, nice roof top
pool you are right in Old San Juan.

Enjoy the cruise.

We're staying at the Caribe Hilton this weekend.

I would recommend that you watch the Priceline
boards--www.biddingfortravel.com in particular. I got a $65/night
rate at the Caribe Hilton for a friend of mine.

Good luck!
