Default Oahu accommodation?

Looking for good, reasonably cheap but not nasty, hotel/beach hut type
accommodation on Oahu in early July. Prefer the Kaneohe side of the island.
Anyone with any recommendations would be appreciated. Many thanks all.

Reasonably cheap is highly subjective. Check the usual travel related
web sites such as expedia.com, hotels.com, orbitz.com and
travelocity.com to see what turns up.

Might want to check out "Bed & Breakfast Goes Hawaiian," by Evie Warner & Al
Davis. They have/had phone # 808-822-7771 and FAX 808-822-2723, plus an 800 #,
800-733-1632. They are/were located in Kapa`a, Kaua`i and handle a lot of
bookings, plus have done the above book. Some years back, we did one of the
properties that they represent in Kaneohe that was great. We had views of
Kaneohe Bay, and the rear lanai opened up onto a rain forest. Because it has
been too many years, I am not sure if they are still around, but the
properties were great and more than fairly priced. We used them on O`ahu and
on Hawai`i (Hilo), and the spaces were all excellent.

Remember, B&B in Hawai`i is a bit different. If one owns a B&B, they do not
have a commercial kitchen license, so "breakfast" is usually fresh fruit,
coffee and bread. It is NOT a full breakfast, as they would need a commercial
kitchen license and then could NOT be a B&B. There is often a bit of confusion
on this.

I looked for specs. on the Kaneohe property, that we stayed in, but could not
find it in the book in the little time that I had. Also, they may now have
better, or different.

Aloha,
Hunt
