Dublin: getting from airport into city?
Georg Schwarz wrote:
Has anyone experience with getting from the airport into the city (to or in the vicinity of the bus center) in Dublin, Irlenad? It appears the only public transportation is busses, and there are different ones at different fares. From a friend who returned on Friday from Dublin: ============== Dublin buses: there is an 'express bus', which takes you from the airport to the bus station for E5. You can also buy a book of tickets - a 'five day rambler' - for E15. One rambler (=E3) will be taken for a single journey on the 'express'. There is also a perfectly satisfactory 'local' bus which runs from the airport to the town centre for about E1.85 ... this is I think bus service 40 or 41. I used this local service, which takes about 35 minutes; the 'Express' is about 20 minutes. There are plenty of buses. A 'rambler' can be used all day, for anywhere over a wide area of Dublin. I hope that satisfies. ==================== I hope so, too Daria |
